About Us

The Inksetter Family has been farming in the Hamilton Area for over 200 years, and in 1965, we planted the orchards that started a new family endeavour. Originally a pick-your-own operation, our orchard has grown to include a Bakery and Gourmet Food Market, and still we pride ourselves on having one of the BEST pick-your-own orchards in the area.

Carluke Orchards has remained a family operation, we’re on our 3rd generation growing apples here in Carluke.

Our store is open 11 months of the year, from February 1st to December 24th, and EVERYTHING we sell in our store is made in Canada. You can find a wide variety of gourmet foods, and tons of local products.

All of our baked goods are made right here, from scratch, using high quality ingredients. We specialize in pies, butter tarts, scones and more in many different flavours!

Pick Your Own

Our Pick Your Own Season runs from early September until Mid October. We have 13 apple varieties available, as well as pick your own pumpkins and squash.

We will post our expected picking dates for each variety in August for the 2026 season.

At Carluke Orchards, we are proud to offer locally sourced and Canadian made products. We have a wonderful array of mouthwatering gourmet foods and preserves. All of our baking is made in house from scratch, we know you'll taste the difference in quality. With 14 kinds of pies, baked fresh with whole fruit, 9 different kinds of cookies and 9 different muffins, we guarantee you will be back for more.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you allow dogs?

Yes! We allow well behaved dogs as long as they stay on leash at all times and are cleaned up after. Please remember that we often have many visitors, other dogs, and kids around, so we recommend only bringing well socialized dogs to our orchard. However, dogs are not permitted in the onsite bakery.

Can I order online?

Yes, we have online ordering available! You can also call us to place an order at 905-648-2775!

For same day orders, large orders, or specialty orders please place your order over the phone.

When do you start pick your own?

We usually start pick your own around the second week of September, but it really does depend on the growing season and the weather. Check our Pick Your Own section of the website for up to date estimates on picking times for all of our varieties!
